Darwin Nunez has been called up for Uruguay’s international break. After the remainder of his three-match ban was temporarily suspended pending appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Nunez was previously handed an immediate suspension by South American football’s governing body CONMEBOL. After being involved in a clash with Colombian fans during the Copa America semi-
finals. Nunez has already served two games for Uruguay’s goalless draw with Paraguay and Venezuela in their World Cup qualifiers. Nunez was due to be available again
during the November international break but their football association appealed to the international body to have his punishment reduced.
That means Nunez’s ban has been suspended, with Marcelo Bielsa recalling the 25-year-old to the squad for the games against Peru. and Ecuador in two weeks’ time.
The ufabet http://ufabet999.app had planned a behind-closed-doors friendly to keep Nunez fit during the international break. But that plan has now been scrapped.
However, Liverpool manager Arne Slot thinks it is good for Nunez to return to his homeland. After starting the season with just three starts, scoring one and providing one assist.
“I would like Darwin to play for the national team. Playing time, meeting the team-mates and recharging himself is good for the players,” Slott said before news of the suspension was announced. “
The media like to say we don’t give Darwin a lot of starts but I think he’s a regular in Uruguay and if he’s in the team he’ll probably play at least one game.”
